Hello! My name is Lisa Iannucci, and I’m the founder of Reel Travels Magazine and The Virgin Traveler. Interesting name, right? I receive a lot of comments about it, but no, it’s not that. LOL
My Story Starts…
I wanted to travel ever since I was little. Unfortunately, I only traveled to a few places before I lost my husband, Jeff, to cancer, when our kids were young.
Life shoved me in a different direction, and I had children to raise and a career to think about. Although we did travel a bit and have some great memories, it wasn’t quite the volume of travel I wanted.
When our children became adults and flew the coop, it was time to get back to my dreams. When I did, I said to a friend in passing, “It’s like I’m doing this for the first time. I feel like a ‘virgin’ traveler.” And the name was born.
Reel Travels Magazine Begins…
I then founded Reel Travels Magazine because movies (and TV) are my life and I wanted a place to talk about what I’ve seen and done. I even have a movie reel tattoo on my forearm. Movies and TV shows are my enjoyment and also my release from everyday life.

When I travel, I look for something film- or TV-related to see. I know a lot of other travelers do the same. Part of my travels includes attending the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in Jamestown, New York, enjoying the Star Trek Museum in Ticonderoga, New York, and visiting the Breaking Bad filming sites and museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
If this sounds like you and you’re also a REEL TRAVELER, welcome! I’m here to help you learn about what’s out there to visit and share the fun of traveling.
I’m also here to help you achieve your travel dreams. I’ll share:
- product suggestions
- travel advice
- itineraries
- reviews
- and so much more
I’m just getting started! Looking for something in particular? Let me know!
